A monitor event can be generated, when the data meeting the conditions specified by the user is captured or the situation specified by the user occurs. Such an event is called user defined event.

Procedure

1. Open the filter editor.
2. Create an [Event Filter].
3. Acquire configuration privileges, if you do not have them yet.
4. Open [Host Properties] dialog box.
5. Click [Expert] tab.
6. Click the interface you want to apply the event filter to.
7. Right click on the [event] column of [NIC user filter].
8. Select an event filter.
9. Select in [Detect] column.
