You can get the notification of monitor events via e-mail and SNMP trap as alert. Configure the events to be notified for each interface and configure the notification method for each ASTEC Eyes or Remote Module.

Notifyin by mail

1. Get configuration privileges, if you don't have these privileges.
2. Open [Host Properties] dialog box.
3. Click [E-mail Alert] tab.
4. Configure e-mail; e-mail address, SMTP server, and so on.
5. Click [Expert] tab.
6. Select the [Notification] check box of the interface you want to enable the alerting feature for.
7. Select the check boxes of [Notification] column for the events you want to be notified of by e-mail.
8. Select the check boxes of [e-mail immediately] column, only if you want to be notified of those events immediately.

Notifying by SNMP

Get configuration privileges, if you don't have these privileges.
1. Open [Host Properties] dialog box

2. Click [SNMP trap] tab.
3. Configure SNMP.
4. Click [Expert] tab.
5. Select the [Notification] check box of the interface you want to enable the alerting feature for.
6. Select the check boxes of [SNMP] column for the events you want to be notified of by SNMP.

Note

• When you select the check box of [Notification], [e-mail immediately], or [SNMP] column, you need to select the check box of [Detect] column, too.
