14.11 Information Saved in the Capture Module
The following information is saved in the Capture Module.
You need configuration privileges to save or change the information
in the Capture Module.
- Labels for Interfaces
- Log output options
- Whether log data is written into files or not
- Interface whose log data is written
- Output interval of log data
- The number of entries in a log file
- Directory where log files are saved
- Whether log files are compressed or not
- Whether log files are deleted automatically or not,
and the number of days before they are deleted
- Continuous capture options
Interface(s) of running continuous capture
- Whether continuous capture is started automatically or not
when Capture Module is invoked
- The maximum file size of continuous capture
- Directory where continuous capture files are saved
- Lower limit of the disk space to stop continuous capture
- Whether continuous capture files are deleted automatically or not,
and lower limit of the disk space to delete files automatically
Expert options
- Interface(s) where monitor events are detected
- Monitor event types to be detected
- Whether monitor events are notified via e-mail or not
- Whether monitor events are notified immediately or not
- Whether monitor events are notified by SNMP trap or not
- Filter(s) set for monitor events
E-mail alert options
- Whether e-mail alerting is enabled or disabled
- SMTP server
- Receiver e-mail address (To header)
- Sender e-mail address (From header)
- Message body format
- Message subject type
- Message sending interval
- Whether e-mail alerting is stopped or not when mail delivery is failed
SNMP options
- Whether SNMP trap is enabled or not
- Host(s) SNMP trap is sent to
- SNMP community
- Whether SNMP trap is stopped or not when SNMP trap transmission
fails
