ASTEC Eyes can connect to a Remote Module via SOCKS as follows;

1. Open [Connect] dialog box.
2. Specify a SOCKS server and connect to it.

Procedure 1

Choose [Connect...] of the [File] menu of the Main window.

1. Right-click on an open space in the Interface Selector window.
2. Choose [Connect...].

Specifying SOCKS Server and Connect to It

Procedure

1. Select [Use SOCKS] check box.
2. Select the SOCKS configuration from a drop down list. If there is not configuration you want to use, click [Advanced...] button and configure a SOCKS server information.
3. Click [Connect] button.

Note

• In the [Connect host] field, specify the host by the way the local PC can recognize such as an IP address, a DNS name, a NetBIOS name, and so on.
• If both [Port] and [Use SOCKS] check box are selected, ASTEC Eyes connects to the specified port number via SOCKS server.
