There are two ways to connect to a Remote Module.

• Connect to the host not displayed in the Interface Selector window.
• Connect to the host displayed in the Interface Selector window.

Connecting to the Host not Displayed in the Interface Selector Window

Procedure 1

1. Choose [Connect...] from the [File] menu of the Main window.
2. Enter the name or IP address of the host running a Remote Module into [Connect host] field.
3. Click [Connect] button.

1. Right-click on an open space in the Interface Selector window.
2. Choose [Connect...].
3. Enter the name or IP address of the host running a Remote Module into [Connect host] field.
4. Click [Connect] button.

Connecting to the Host Displayed in the Interface Selector window

Procedure

1. Right-click on the disconnectied host entry ().
2. Choose [Connect].

Note

• In the [Connect host] field, specify the host by the way the local PC can recognize such as an IP address, a DNS name, a NetBIOS name, and so on.
• If you want to connect to a Remote Module with IPv6 (IP version 6), select IPv6 from the drop down list in the right of [Connect host].
• ASTEC Eyes connects to a Remote Module using port 8887 of TCP protocol.
