Sometimes you want to monitor only a certain portion of the entire traffic, which can be specified by logical conditions. In this case, you can filter the traffic to be monitored, using the monitor filter.

1. Define a monitor filter using the filter editor.
2. Apply the monitor filter to Traffic windows.

Procedure

1. Open the filter editor.
2. Click [Monitor Filter].
3. Specify logical expressions.

Apply the monitor filter

Procedure 1

1. Choose [Monitor Filter] from the [Monitor] menu of the Main window.
2. Choose the filter to apply.

Procedure 2

1. Click [Monitor Filter] button () on the toolbar of the Monitor window.
2. Choose the filter to apply.

Procedure 3

1. Right-click on the Monitor window.
2. Choose [Monitor Filter].
3. Choose the filter to apply.

Note

• The monitor filter is applied interface by interface. For example, when the three Monitor windows are displayed to the one interface and the monitor filter is applied, the monitor filter will be applied to all three Traffic windows.
