8.2 Creating a Filter
You can create a complex filter using the filter editor.
In the filter editor,
you can edit conditions used in the following filters;
- display filter
- monitor filter
- event filter
- capture filter
- start capture trigger
- pause capture trigger
- continuous capture filter
- start continuous capture trigger
- pause continuous capture trigger
Create a filter as follows;
- Select the type of the filter to create.
- Enter logical expressions.
Selecting the Type of a Filter to Create
Procedure
- Open filter editor.

Click on a filter name displayed in the tree view in the [Filter viewer] region.
Entering Logical Expressions
Procedure 1
- Click [New Expression] button or [New Group] button.

Specify a condition group, a logical expression type,
conditions, values, and so on.
Procedure 2
- Right-click a filter name.
- Choose [New Expression] or [New Group].

Specify a condition group, a logical expression type,
conditions, values, and so on.

You need to have
configuration privilege
to create a continuous capture filter,
start continuous capture trigger,
and pause continuous capture trigger

Depending on the filter type,
the number of filters or the structure of logical expressions may be restricted.
