5.1.2 Creating ICMP Packets
You can create an ICMP Echo Request packet easily, by selecting
[2 ICMP Echo Request] from [Append...] menu of Send Packet window.
Procedure

Click [Append...] menu and select [2 ICMP Echo Request].
[Parameters of generated packet] dialog box will appear.

Enter the source and destination MAC addresses into
[Source] and [Destination] fields of
[MAC Address] region, respectively.

Enter the source and destination IP addresses into
[Source] and [Destination] fields of
[IP Address] region, respectively.

Enter the length of data (excluding the ICMP header) of ICMP
packet into [Length] field of [Data] region.

Edit the data in [Data] region.
-
Click [OK] button.
