In order to use a display filter, create a display filter using filter editor first. Next, apply the display filter to a decode view.

Applying a Display Filter

Procedure 1

1. Click [Display Filter] button () on the toolbar of a decode view.
2. Choose the name of the filter you want to apply from the menu.

Procedure 2

1. Right-click on a decode view.
2. Choose [Filter].
3. Choose [Display Filter].
4. Choose the name of the filter you want to apply from the menu.

Note

• A new decode view will appear showing only the packets matching the display filter. In this decode view, numbers in the Frame ID column will be shown in green.
• You cannot use a display filter in a stream view. Create a stream view from the decode view to which the display filter is applied.
