1.4.1 Restricting the Graph Items to Display
The number of the Graph Items being displayed will be restricted for certain
traffic.
Only higher-volume Graph Items are displayed for the following traffic
by default:
- MAC Traffic by Source
- MAC Traffic by Destination
- MAC Traffic by Host Pair
- IP Traffic by Source
- IP Traffic by Destination
- IP Traffic by Host Pair
You can alter the Graph Item restrictions by the following steps;
Procedure 1 (line charts: the maximum number of Graph Items
drawn for the period displayed)
- Right-click on the Traffic window.
- Choose [Properties...].
- Click on the [chart] tab.
- Enter the maximum number into [Item size((Top N)] field
of [Item size of chart of host or host pair] region.
Procedure 2 (line charts: the maximum number of Graph Items
drawn at each plotting poit)
- Right-click on the Traffic window.
- Choose [Properties...].
- Click on the [chart] tab.
- Select [more item in line chart] check box
of [Item size of chart of host and host pair] region.
- Select [history top N] and enter the maximum
number into [TopN] field.
Procedure 3(bar and pie charts)
- Right click on Traffic window.
- Select [Properties...].
- Click [chart] tab.
- Enter the maximum number into [Item size((Top N)] field
of [Item size of chart of host or host pair] region.
Note

Trying to display all of the Graph Items will slow the drawing speed of
the chart as the usage of memory increases.
In addition, the resulting chart might be crowded and difficult to identify.

The restrictions of the number of Graph Item to be displayed are only
applicable to the current Monitor window.
To set the restrictions to a newly created Monitor window,
configure the chart default.
