ASTEC Eyes will verify the checksum value of IPv4, UDP, and TCP when decoding, if configured so. If the checksum value in a packet is wrong, decoding for the packet will be stopped.

Procedure

1. Open [Options] dialog box.
2. Click [Decode] in the tree view in the left of the dialog box.
3. Select to [Detect checksum error] check box.

Note

• If you are using the NIC (Network Interface Card) with checksum offload, it is not recommended to verify checksum values.
• The configuration of checksum verification will not be reflected in the decode view already displayed. In order to reflect it, you need to update decode view.
