3.3.6 Truncating Packets Stored
You can truncate the packets stored, whereby reducing the volume of
continuous capture files. By doing so, you can store more packets
for longer period, though you can not see all the details of the
packets.
Procedure
-
Open [Host Properties] dialog box.
- Click on [Continuous Capture] tab.

Select [Truncate packets stored] check box
and enter the upper limit of the packet length stored.
Note
- Specify a value no less than 68 bytes for the upper limit.
This is to keep the senders, receivers, and application protocols identifiable.
