3.1.8 Specifying Capture Mode
Specify whether the captured data is decoded in realtime.
Procedure

Open [Options] dialog box.

Click [Capture] item in the tree view in the left of the dialog box.
- Select a target interface from the [Interface] list.

Select [Real Time Decode] check box, if you want to run
realtime decode. Deselect [Real Time Decode] check box, otherwise.
For realtime decode, you need to specify the following values in
[Options] dialog box;

Enter the maximum volume of packets displayed in realtime decode view
into [Total bytes of holding packets] field.

Select [Stop real time decode when buffer full] check box,
if you want to stop capture when the amount of data displayed
exceeds the limit set above.
Deselect the check box, if you want the old data to be overwritten.
Note
-
The minimum value of [Total bytes of holding packets] is
4 M bytes.
The maximum value is one forth (1/4) of the real memory size of the host
where ASTEC Eyes Basic Package is running.
