3.1.6 Saving Captured Data into a File
You can save the data of a capture buffer into a file.
Procedure

Select a network interface.
- Choose [Save Capture Buffer...] from the [File] menu of the Main window.
- Specify a file name and click [Save] button.
Note
-
You cannot save the captured data from within realtime decode window.
Display decode view and save the captured data.

The captured data is saved in the uncompressed Sniffer format (extension .enc) by default.
You can also save it compressed by bzip2 (extension .ebz).
