You can make checksums re-calculated, change transmission intervals, and specify how many times one packet should be transmitted, using [Packet Generation] dialog box before transmission.

Making checksums re-calculated

When the content of a packet is modified, it is necessary to re-calculate its checksums using the new content.

Procedure

Click [Recalculate] button in [Packet Generation] dialog box.

Changing the transmission intervals

Procedure

1. Select [Fix] check box in [Interval] region.
2. Select the unit of time interval; millisecond or second.
3. Enter a time interval.

Note

• 0 millisecond or 0 second will send packets as fast as possible.

Specifying transmission count

Specify how many times one packet should be transmitted.

Procedure

1. Enter [Times repeated].

• The checksum re-calculation is performed on checksums contained in IP header, TCP header, UDP header,and ICMP header.
• The captured data will be transmitted by the time intervals when they are captured, unless the transmission intervals are specified.
