There are two expert functions in ASTEC Eyes; monitor expert events and decode expert events.

Monitor expert events detect the symptoms of network trouble while monitoring, and display them in the Event Viewer or notify them via e-mail or SNMP trap.

Decode expert events are generated while the capture data is analyzed (decoded), and warn about possible network troubles. Those events suggests the possibility of inappropriate configuration of network equipments or the transmissions which might cause network troubles.
